Visualize The Life You Want

“One way to manifest your best future is to visualize it!  You may have heard of vision boards in one way or another. For those who haven’t, a vision board is basically a collage or visual diary that represents everything you want to manifest into your life.

There are no rules in vision board creation and this is what makes it fun and exciting. It can be any size, shape, and style depending on your personality, liking and preference.

You can even create digital versions or opt to use newspapers or magazine cut-outs and poster or chalkboards. Vision boards can be a very powerful tool if done right.  Below are 5 steps for creating a vision board.

1. Set and write out your short-term goals

Before you start working on your vision board, think about your main goals at this stage in your life. This helps you organize and figure out exactly what you want to include on your vision board.

This step is all about setting short-term goals and focusing on areas of your life that you feel needs improvement and work.

There’s no denying that short-term goals are easier to achieve. It’s not that you shouldn’t dream big, it’s just that there are people who get discouraged and impatient if they don’t achieve their big goals fast enough.

And if you’re one of them, focus first on your smaller goals which are basically like stepping stones and milestones toward your bigger goals. Doing it this way makes it more realistic for your subconscious mind, which in turn makes you feel that you’ll likely achieve those goals.

Once you attain those goals, repeat this process and create another vision board.

2. Look for pictures that give you life

After you’ve outlined all your goals, the next step is to look for images for your vision board. You can cut out magazine pictures that resonate with you and represent your dreams. You can also look for pictures online and print them out.

Whatever pictures you use and wherever you find them, see to it that you are drawn to them and they make you feel positive emotions like happiness, excitement, etc.

3. Add powerful phrases and words

After looking for images, don’t forget to also include powerful phrases and words. Having affirmations and mantras in there will level up your vision board and provide a more accurate representation of your vision. And make sure they make you feel some type of way as well!

This is also a great opportunity to zero in on how you’d like to feel. For instance, if you want to feel abundant, satisfied, or fearless, write mantras and affirmations related to those feelings with a colorful marker or use an attractive and bold font as reminders on your vision board.  This will help set you on track towards your dreams in life and make it real for your subconscious mind.

4. Start putting it all together

Now that you have your images, phrases, and words ready, it’s time to get creative and put it all together.

Since it’s your vision board, you can do whatever you want and decide how it’s going to look like. But in order to stay organized, it’s best to have different sections for different areas of your life.

For example, you can have your career goals in one corner, family goals and travel goals in another, and so on and so forth. But if you’re not into cutting pictures and all that stuff, you can opt for digital vision boards. Follow your heart and do what feels right for you.

5. Add finishing touches

If you’re feeling extra creative, feel free to take your vision board up a notch. Use crayons, watercolors, add glitter, stickers, and other finishing touches like ribbons and cute decorations.

Remember that your vision board’s purpose is to make you feel alive, excited, and have other positive feelings. So, anything that makes it pop out and makes it attractive to look at will help you feel good and make you look forward to achieving your heart’s desires as if you already have the things that you want.

After adding the finishing touches, place it in your office, a favorite spot in the house, and other places where you’ll see it often. The key here is access and visibility.

Visualize and attract the life you want

Vision boards shouldn’t be taken for granted in this day and age. Although they’re not magical in and of themselves, they can definitely help in the manifestation process.

Of course, just visualization alone won’t automatically turn your dreams into reality, you still have to put in the effort and start taking action to achieve your goals and dreams in life.”
