“When an individual asked Edgar Cayce how he could develop a closer relationship with the Divine, he was told that it was accomplished by working on his relationships with others. Cayce counseled: ‘A kind word, a gentle speech, even under the most trying circumstances, creates not only for self that attunement but makes same for others — or makes others aware of same.’ (877-6)
With this in mind, the Edgar Cayce readings describe our joint brother/sisterhood with all others as a reflection in the material world of our fellowship with God. Ultimately, true fellowship is about our full connection and communion with Spirit as we go about our daily lives. It is about living up to the very best we have within us and giving that best to others.
Experiencing fellowship with God is possible as we work on our relationships with others. Those who would seek to know the creator and have a communion with the spirit must begin practicing that same communion with individuals. If we desire fellowship with god, we must have a conscious focus on the needs and well-being of others. If we seek grace, mercy, or understanding in our own lives, we must first share those very same attributes with those around us. However we treat one another is how we can expect to be treated in return. This is a universal law.”
