Humanity’s Relationship To God
“The great problem for all religions has been understanding the nature of humanity’s relationship to God. This is the query of the psalmist when he asks, ‘What is man, that Thou art mindful of him?’
One answer to this question, and my central thesis here, is that humanity may be defined as a unique portion of the process and a record of the expression of the Infinite into the finite.
Hidden in every human being is some of the Divine. Ever since the beginning, humans have gone over the earth digging, diving, and climbing, looking for that godlike quality, which all the time is hidden within ourselves. Hindu and Biblical spiritual concepts all relate to the manner in which the power and knowledge of the Infinite are expressed through finite humans, as well as to the barriers that separate our finite conscious minds from their potential for an awareness of the Infinite.
It is not the drop that slips into the sea but the sea that slips into the drop! (Editor’s Note: God, the Infinite Sea, is within your drop of finiteness. In other words, there is a big YOU within the smaller yoYOUu.)
This Buddhist insight not only recognizes the oneness of the godhead within and the universe without but also defines the direction of the flow of energy and consciousness, of life itself. It is not so much that we are to return to God but rather that we are to express the fullness of the nature of God in our present lives.
Edgar Cayce readings express the same insight in these terms: ‘Hence, as man applies himself — or uses that of which he becomes conscious, he becomes conscious of that union of force with the infinite with the finite force.’ (262-52)
The oneness of the Divine without and the Divine within, and the direction of the flow from the Infinite into the finite, this is the central insight regarding human nature, which may be found in the great sacred literature of the world, whether it be Hindu, Buddhist, or Judeo-Christian in origin.”

Our Days Are A Busy Rush
“Our days are a busy rush, often from the moment we wake up. Even in our moments of rest, we are often on our phones or using technology to distract ourselves. In this rushed existence, our sleep suffers, we become stressed, overwhelmed, and burnt out. If you are also taking care of children, the pressures are that much greater!
What would it be like to slow down? To find stillness in your day, moments of rest and quietude?
Slowing down, if we go deeper, allows us to:
- Notice what’s coming up for us, and attend to our emotions. This is much, much more important than people realize — most of our problems come from an inability to regulate our emotions or even recognize that they’re there.
- Make decisions from a place of choosing from the heart. If we have a decision to make, instead of overthinking it, we can slow down and sit in stillness for a few moments, and notice what our heart chooses. This makes decision-making much more effortless, once you learn to trust this.
- Make time for creating, instead of just busywork. We rush to do busywork because of fear, and because it’s easier than setting aside time to create. By slowing down, we can make the time to create, and slow down with our fears that are keeping us from doing this.
- Focus on what’s really important. What’s most important to you in your life? Spending time on loved ones, on your health, on your most important work? Whatever is most important to you, by slowing down, you can become more intentional and purposeful, and fully be with whatever you choose to do.
- Start to break up our habitual patterns. We live our lives mostly on autopilot, driven by old habitual patterns. This isn’t bad, but it means we struggle to do things the way we’d really like. We can begin break up those old patterns by slowing down, and noticing that we’re caught up in them.
- Start to get some rest and self-care into our lives. When we are rushed and busy and distracted all day long, it leads to feeling depleted and exhausted. This is a huge problem for many of us. Slowing down can create a bit of spaciousness to choose into rest and taking care of ourselves.
- Start to truly appreciate life. Rushing through our day, we barely notice the world in front of us. What if we could start to slow down and find wonder in the everyday moments?
These are just a handful of the possibilities of slowing down. It’s a deep, sacred, beautiful practice that can transform our lives, if we really engage with it regularly.”

Earth Is An Incredibly Hard School
“You are currently in an incredibly hard school that is painful beyond all reasonability. Some of you feel guilty that you are not doing more to help your fellow man. But life on earth is so incredibly tough that just surviving is already a challenge. Even just energetically things are very rough right now, and I know that there are many practical, physical, and psychological challenges on top of that.
I would just try to do your best, and if your current best is just surviving, then just survive. Just living through the toughest course in the galaxy is already quite an achievement, especially if you do so as a spiritually awake person. As I have said, even if you don’t feel that you are doing anything, you actually are doing a lot.
In that way, even just by existing on earth and helping to ground these new energies, you are very much making a huge contribution to us potentially finding a way to relieve suffering across the entire universe. So you are already succeeding. You already are helping, right now. ”
