Toward The One Spirituality In Everyday Life – A Talk by Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan

Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan, a teacher of meditation and the traditions of the East Indian Chishti Order of Sufism, speaks about this spiritual practice.  His father brought Sufism to the West.  He explains that Sufism is not a religion but that you can be a Christian, Jew, Hindu, Muslim and other faiths and be a Sufi.  He explains that Meditation enables you to “get back into the roots of your being.”  When you turn within, you begin to understand what is behind this world and gain the new perspective that All are connected.  You feel the Divine Presence. There are several broadcasts here.  The first one is 24 minutes.

Pre-Birth Agreements

th-35“The agreements are contracts entered into at soul level by all members of a family and other primary relationships in the lifetimes of everyone agreeing to be born into the shared experiencing.  Both genetic and environmental influences are taken into account when the selection of parents takes place, as these are the foundations for the soul’s chosen lessons.”

Let Go, Let God

“In Richard Bach’s book, Illusions, he tells a story about a group of creatures who spend their lives clinging to the bottom of a river, resisting the current. One creature finally declares, ‘I trust that the current knows where it is going.  I shall let go, and let it take me where it will.’

I may find myself resisting circumstances in my life, clinging to my perceived safety nets out of fear of the unknown.  When I let go and let God, I accept what appears in my life and allow the flow of Spirit to carry me.  I trust that God will take me where I need to go.  I release any need to control life’s conditions.  I let go with ease and let divine order design my life.”

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”  Proverbs 3:5-6, dailyword.com
