The Divine Spark Is Within
The divine spark is within each individual, but it needs to be drawn out and fanned into a flame in many souls.
recognize the divinity within you, nurture it, and allow it to grow and flourish. A seed has to be planted in the soil before it can grow. It has within it all its potential, but that potential remains dormant until given the right conditions in which to grow and develop.
You have within you the kingdom of heaven, but unless you wake up to the fact and start searching for it, you will not find it, and there it will remain. There are many souls in this life who will not wake up to this fact, and they are like seeds stored away in packets. You must want to break your bonds to be free.
As soon as the desire is there, you will receive help in every way possible. But the desire in you must be there first.
How To Work On Yourself
“I know, I know. We have a million reasons to be unhappy. i.e., Those jerks in the office are so darn negative! My children fight all the time, and my cats keep clawing up the furniture! We have a million things that upset us. But in reality, it is us who are upset about things that were never resolved in our past.
These unhealed memories send out a magnetic signal that attracts us to more events to feel the same about, in hopes of finally healing the issue and resolving the energy of the past.
These buried emotions zap the world around us and create events of the same frequency and emotional charge so that we can heal what has remained unhealed inside of us.
Here is how I work on myself.
-
I think about the thing that is upsetting me.
-
I ask myself, ‘How does this make me feel?’ and write a list of the emotions that come to mind. (For example, ‘I feel neglected, unimportant, shunned, stood up, and abandoned.’)
-
I honor the way I feel. ‘Yes, it’s true I feel neglected, I feel unimportant, I feel shunned, stood up, and abandoned!’
-
I now dump all those emotions in the Full Court of Atonement and correct them. I say to myself …
‘I, _____, place each and every level of my consciousness that feels _____ into a Full Court of Atonement for the purpose of analyzing my timeline and resolving any and all reasons I feel this way at their points of origin. I ask for amenable dissolution of this energy now.’
Then, when I read the list of emotions again, it usually feels much lighter. If not, I do it again and find out what else I am feeling. I ask myself, ‘How do I feel about it now?’ If I feel hurt, lost, lonely, forgotten, I honor it. ‘Yes, it’s true, I feel hurt. I feel lost. I feel lonely. I feel forgotten.’ Then I put them through the Court of Atonement again.”

Served Me At The Soul Level
The Evolution Of Universal Consciousness
“Most humans are still, almost literally, possessed by thought. They don’t think, but thinking happens to them. The beginning of spiritual awakening is the realization that you are not the voice in your head but the one who is aware of the voice. You are the awareness behind your thoughts. As this realization grows, you begin to derive your sense of identity increasingly from the space of awareness rather than from the narratives in your mind. You are letting go of the identification with thought. Thought is no longer imbued with self!
That is the ultimate letting go, the only true renunciation. You are still able to enjoy external things such as possessions and sensory pleasures, but they lose their overriding importance and their addictive nature. You enjoy them with a sense of detachment, while they last. (Spoiler alert: they won’t last!) You don’t seek yourself in them anymore. Life sheds its absolute seriousness.
What is the criterion for progress on this path? Thought increasingly loses its capacity to make you unhappy! You are less reactive in the face of challenging situations or people. You recognize worry as futile and destructive, so you are able to let it go when it happens. You find inner peace and contentment in the present moment. And perhaps you begin to realize that you are not a person but an essential and intrinsic part of the evolution of universal consciousness.”

Letting Things Be
Detach From Outcomes
Question:
“How do I desire something and at the same time not get attached to the outcome?”
Deepak Chopra’s Response:
Wisdom traditions tell us that the way to manifest our desires is to desire and then let go of it and be detached from it.
This seems confusing and contradictory because the essential part of this formula is usually omitted.
This only works when you have the desire arising from the stillness of your true self.
That means you are desiring from the state of pure fulfillment, and wholeness.
So the desire isn’t coming from a sense of lack or neediness, so it isn’t a desire in the usual sense of the word.
That’s why the wisdom traditions will often call this thought impulse an intention rather than a desire.
The state of fulfillment of the true self is also the state of perfect detachment.
It is complete and doesn’t need anything, so it doesn’t hold onto the intention and it isn’t attached to the outcome.
It is allowed to move freely like a ripple on a pond.
This desire-detachment process is really just one unified experience of thinking in that state of free, expanded self-awareness.

Deepak

Let Go Of Expecting People To Be A Certain Way
Stress Causes And Cures
Leave yourself plenty of time to do what you need to do. Being too busy is a big source of stress. Slow down.
When stress hits hard, take a time-out. A few minutes away from a problem can help. Breathe deeply – slowly in, slowly out. Think of something pleasant and then return to the situation more relaxed.
Build in free time; even just a few minutes will help. To de-stress:
- Find something to make you laugh.
- Play at a playground.
- Listen to music.
- Take a trip.
- Have a bath.
- Get a massage.
- Play a musical instrument.
- Create art.
- Talk to someone.
- Sleep and eat well.”
