Silence Is A Time For Self-Development

How does a period of silence help in self-improvement?

Silence is a time for self-development. We reflect on the events of our lives to see how we could have been better in any situation we encountered.

Silence is a time of self-reflection. We reflect on who we were, look at who we are, and envision who we could be, all to become our best selves.

The reason we do not correct our mistakes and remain what we are is that we do not look back to see where we went wrong. To improve oneself, one needs to analyze one’s actions and change one’s behavior so that similar situations in the future can be handled efficiently.

Spend a few minutes in silence with yourself. Think about your day, appreciate yourself for your positive actions, identify actions that can be improved and do not blame yourself for anything that did not go right, but focus on improving yourself. Gradual daily improvements will make you better with each passing day.

After thirty years of teaching Inner City, Special Education students and forty-five years of metaphysical studies, I have decided to share my life's philosophical understandings on this wonderful website. For me, everything in my life has been a spiritual experience from being raised in an alcoholic household, to marriage and teaching, and finally caring for an Alzheimer parent. I have sought at least fifteen, personal psychic readings to try and assist me as a wife, teacher and caretaker. I want to share the wisdom that I have gained from following the valuable spiritual guidance from my inner knowing and from heeding the advise of channeled answers from trusted psychics. At almost 70 years old, I am writing, traveling and enjoying retirement in Florida.
