When you’re analyzing your life from within some disturbing emotion, you’re going to worsen your state of being every single time.
Emotions are a record of the past. They are the end product of past experiences. And if you’re living your life from some familiar emotion and that emotion is typically driven by the hormones of stress, then as long as you’re thinking within that emotion, you’re pretty much thinking in the past.
The solution to your problems is not thinking within that emotion, it is about getting beyond your belief systems around what that emotion represents in your awareness. And when you can do that, you get beyond your past. Now you’re no longer viewing your future, or yourself through the lens of the past.
This can most effectively be achieved the more an individual practices Heart-Brain coherence techniques. To strengthen your heart-brain connection, start with practicing intentionally positive emotions. For example, be in the moment and highly aware of what your body feels like when caring for someone. Note how your breath and heart move in a more synchronized rhythm. This rhythm directly impacts the brain. Practicing positive emotions and their impact on the heart empowers you to live in a higher emotional and physical state. When you are able to produce prolonged positive emotions, it’s called coherence. This coherence creates improved harmony and order in your body and mind.
I sometimes view my life through disturbing past emotions. However, practicing the heart-brain coherence of being in the moment has helped and is helping me more than anything.
