When we sleep, we drop all resistant thought. When we awaken, we are at a vibrationally neutral place. Once we gain consciousness, we then
select a thought.
First you must become conscious of your waking thoughts! Listen to them. What are you thinking when you wake up? You choose how you start your day! One choice is to start the day on a positive note with good feeling thoughts. Another might be to wake up angry for having to go to work or face a challenging day. You get to choose.
We sometimes don’t realize that we are selecting a usual, habitual thought that might not be positive. Or perhaps we are conscious of promoting a more favorable day’s beginning. Say… we might feel gratitude for all we have been given. But whatever our waking thoughts are, the day begins on that footing.
“It usually takes about 30 days to change a habit. Not because you need 30 days. You could do it in 68 seconds if you could once you did it hold your vibration there, but you have to consciously make that decision.” Abraham-Hicks
For instance, do you groan and curse your alarm when it rings? Doing this doesn’t feel good. Instead, change your automatic negativity and thank your alarm for doing the only job it has to do, wake you up for the new day ahead. Now, choosing that thought feels better!
Next, leave time to enjoy 10-20 minutes of clear mind meditation. This is the foundation for hopeful daily living. When we meditate, we rest our minds and begin the upward movement into a positive space. We raise our vibration. When we raise our vibration, we feel better. We are happier, more optimistic and begin the new day with all of the upbeat possibilities and potentials ahead of us! Doing this feels so nice.
Meditation also opens us up to our subtle connections with our angelic guidance. This inner soul communication will nudge us in our most constructive directions. When we have access to our “inner voice,” we have a direct line to our Higher Power which is our own self love and always leads us to our best spiritual outcomes.
Then as we move throughout the day, we can pay attention to the way we are feeling in each moment. Tuning into our “now” thoughts is the beginning of awareness or mindfulness. We may become aware of our first thought being sad or expecting the worst outcome.
Also, being aware of our moment to moment thinking can be difficult when our emotions get “triggered.” However, this is how we catch our thinking and stay
out of the habitual negativity that we may have grown up adopting. This triggered sour thinking is not coming from our true self. Our true selves can decide to become mature beings who choose our thoughts and reactions to the outside world. We don’t allow “knee jerk” behaviors to inhibit life but instead we stop and consider other more positive alternatives. With practice, after a while, those shadowy hesitations to life will not come to mind. Give mindful awareness of each moment a try!
Eckhart Tolle speaks of “Being in the Now.” Be present in each moment. One way to do this is to take your day in “segments.” Feeling good in each situational segment makes mindfulness easier to manage.
For example, any time we move to a new location or a new person enters our location, we can call this is a new segment. Think, “My intention is to feel good in each segment of my day.” Breath in and set your new, good feeling intentions before moving into a new segment.
When someone enters your segment, take a breath and set your intention before you begin your interaction. This is a great way to keep your mind and your emotional self on track with your intentions!
If any negativity should happen in the segment ask, “Can I feel better about this negative experience? Is this negativity trying to show me something? Am I learning from this?” If you cannot break that negative feeling, remind yourself, “This is just one segment of my day. This segment will be over soon.”
Lastly, regain your composure. Get yourself ready for your next segment by leaving the old one where it is. Another new segment of life is coming! Prepare emotionally for the next segment.
This is Life! You are So Capable of handling it ALL!
