Three Tips for Emotional Awareness

“Developing emotional intelligence plays a vital part in finding a true and long-lasting body wellness. Nurturing your emotional health is very important.  It needs just as much support as knowing the physical concepts of wellness and body health, which usually gets all of the attention.

The mind-body connection is a powerful one.  Emotional health is a cornerstone in achieving full-body vibrance.  Research has shown that having a greater grasp on understanding your emotions correlates to increased happiness and satisfaction, along with a better management of stress.  Conversely, a lack of emotional balance has been linked to poorer outcomes with physical health issues.

If we tune out what we don’t want to feel, it only allows those negative emotions to take a greater hold on your life.  I learned this approach was not the way to wellness.  It wasn’t until I found a way to accept and cope with negative emotions and the stress from them, that I was able to move on, more resilient against the unpleasant feelings that we’re all susceptible to at times.

Luckily, we can grow our emotional intelligence and learn to manage our feelings in a graceful way. Here are my top three tips for finding a new relationship to your emotions:

  1. Practice deep breathing. Focus on your breath: expand your diaphragm, inhale slowly and deeply, fill your belly up and let it fill with air, then exhale slowly and deeply and feel your belly contract. This seemingly simple exercise can change your life. It’s a great way to support the mind-body connection and find a sense of calm.  Studies have shown that it helps to oxygenate the blood and supports emotional wellbeing by reducing stress, anxiety, exhaustion, and even depression. If you’re feeling overwhelmed or down, find a quiet space and practice this deep breathing technique for some instant clarity. This is also an excellent way to calm down after a stressful situation, giving you time to reflect so that you don’t react from an emotionally unstable place.
  2. Practice self-compassion. The minute we begin to criticize ourselves, our negative thoughts and feelings become amplified. When you notice that critical self-talk creeping in, think about what you would say to a friend sharing those same thoughts with you. Chances are, you’ll be much more nurturing to them than to yourself—use that insight to turn the conversation around and recognize your self-worth. Practicing compassion with yourself and others will continue to support your emotional intelligence, communication, and depth of understanding.
  3. Talk it out. Sometimes all it takes to understand our emotions is sharing them with someone else. And often, saying something out loud can reveal a whole new meaning that you didn’t initially notice by going over it in your own head. Psychodynamic therapy, or talk therapy, has been found to not only alleviate symptoms during active treatment but it also has been shown to improve emotional balance after therapy has ended, thanks to the broad understanding and new perception that was gained.

Acknowledging your own emotional state is an important tool in supporting all of your other health goals. It also makes you a better friend, partner, family member, or co-worker by deepening your ability to understand others.

Emotional wellness is connected to all the areas of your life—stop running away from your feelings and start embracing them with courage. Your health will thank you!”

Stepping Into Higher Dimensions

“In order to step into higher dimensions and vibrations with ease, it is helpful to be open to new experiences and to release any fear or doubt. We need to exist in a state of appreciation, eager about what is to come and knowing that only good is before us. This time is nothing like we have ever experienced before (at least not in these bodies). All of us are expanding our consciousness which means we are ripe for totally new experiences. With this being said, we don’t always have to know the why’s and how’s, it’s about trusting in the Universe and doing the inner work to align with what is before us. Embracing the changes and the unknown will activate and lead us into the new multi dimensional experiences.

As we expand and gain our power back, we are one by one awakening to the truth of who we are, therefore we no longer apply to the conditioning and programing we have been exposed to. Once we start to exist in trust and in that realization of how powerful we are while doing the inner work, our vibration starts to improve and everything in our world starts to shift and move forward.

As we get new upgrades, we are unlocking the true versions of who we are and during this time we might get triggered in order to release the old, this is why it’s important to stay balanced in the now without giving into the distractions or what has been and just stay open to what your higher self is ready for now. Balancing mind, body and soul by meditating, eating healthy, exercising and focusing on things and people that help you expand or unlock your true nature is the way to go.” ascensionenergies.com

This Story Is “A Mystic Heart Song!”

Of all the African tribes still alive today, the Himba tribe is one of the few that counts the birth date of the children not from the day they are born nor conceived but the day the mother decides to have the child.
When a Himba woman decides to have a child, she goes off and sits under a tree, by herself, and she listens until she can hear the song of the child who wants to come. And after she’s heard the song of this child, she comes back to the man who will be the child’s father, and teaches him the song. When they make love to physically conceive the child, they sing the song of the child as a way of inviting the child.
When she becomes pregnant, the mother teaches that child’s song to the midwives and the old women of the village, so that when the child is born, the old women and the people gather around him/her and sing the child’s song to welcome him/her. As the child grows up, the other villagers are taught the child’s song.
If the child falls, or gets hurt, someone picks him/her up and sings to him/her his/her song. Or maybe when the child does something wonderful, or goes through the rites of puberty, then as a way of honoring this person, the people of the village sing his or her song.  In the Himba tribe, there is one other occasion when the “child song” is sang to the Himba tribes-person. If a Himba tribesman or tribeswoman commits a crime or something that is against the Himba social norms, the villagers call him or her into the center of the village and the community forms a circle around him/her. Then they sing his/her birth song to him/her.
The Himba views correction not as a punishment, but as love and remembrance of identity. For when you recognize your own song, you have no desire or need to do anything that would hurt another.

In marriage, the songs are sung, together. And finally, when the Himba tribesman/tribeswoman is lying in his/her bed, ready to die, all the villagers that know his or her song come and sing – for the last time that person’s song.

Wisdom From Dr. Wayne Dyer

“When we meet others who we think might be living in-Spirit, we must ask the following questions: Do they seem to have a rapturous heart, sending out signals that they love the world and everyone in it? Are they jubilant about the work they do? Do they see the world as a friendly place? Are they at peace with themselves? Do they appear to be kind rather than judgmental? Are they confident without being boorish? Do they tend to be cheerful? Do they love to play? Are they elated to be in the company of young children as well as older people? Do they listen rather than lecture? Are they willing to be students as well as teachers? Do they love nature? Are they in awe of the world? Do they express rational humility? Are they approachable? Do they take great pleasure in serving others? Do they seem to have tamed their ego? Do they accept all people as equals? Are they open to new ideas? The answers to these questions will help us ascertain whether another person is potentially an inspiring influence in our life.

Those who have the gift of inspiration exude something that’s difficult to pin down intellectually, yet is undeniably recognizable in how we feel in their presence: We can sense that they’re aligned with the Source Energy from which we all originate. We perceive a place within them that resonates deeply within ourselves—a vibrational recognition of inspiration—and they have much to offer us. We recognize their high spiritual energy, which longs to be active in our life. When we feel this resonance, it’s reflected in a feeling that’s similar to a warm, soothing shower that’s running deep within us.

Nelson Mandela

In 1999 I was invited to South Africa to lecture to some public audiences. While in Cape Town, I took the ferry over to Robben Island to visit the prison where Nelson Mandela had been incarcerated for so many years. (I actually visited at the time of the tenth-anniversary celebration of his release.)

Here was a man who spent more than 27 years of his life imprisoned—he wasn’t even allowed visitors because he was a vocal opponent of a system of apartheid, in which an entire race of people were declared by law to be inferior and unworthy of the same privileges as the remaining citizens of the country. And he worked all day in a limestone quarry, where the burning sunlight glared so against the white rock that his eyes became mere slits due to the squinting that he was forced to practice in order to survive. I spent 30 minutes in that quarry and my eyes stung all day—imagine what years of such exposure would wreak.

Mandela went deep within himself, and when he was finally released, he came out with forgiveness and reconciliation in his heart. His staying in-Spirit was the force behind the dismantling of apartheid and his ultimate election to the presidency of an emerging democracy of South Africa a few years later.

As I meditated in the prison outside of this great man’s cell, I felt the warm inner shower I described earlier in this chapter. Then I was handed an autographed copy of his book Long Walk to Freedom, which I treasure.

Nelson Mandela conveyed the spiritual energy of love, peace, kindness, and tolerance during all of his travails, and this spiritual energy provided a blueprint that changed the face of Africa—and the world—forever.

Yes, he inspired me!”  waynedyer.com

Bentinho Massaro – A Spiritual Teacher for the Next Generation – Video

“Bentinho Massaro grew up in Holland with a profound enlightenment experience at age 14. Since then, Bentinho has been riding the waves of an intensely awakened life. He started teaching at age 18 and today, at 28, he is an internationally recognized spiritual teacher and empowerment speaker who holds frequent retreats in major US and European cities.

Even as a child, he had a sense of the unlimited possibilities within human consciousness. As a teenager, frustrated with the ‘unconscious’ behavior of society, he made a commitment to search for the ‘ultimate answer’ and to discover the actual workings of life that would liberate humanity from conflict and suffering.  He began a relentless quest, exploring all kinds of teachers, philosophies, and methods, including studies in India.  He realized that all the spiritual ‘authorities’ were no more enlightened than himself and made a radical decision: to seek only within his own being, following his own resonance and trusting his intuition without hesitation. There he discovered that the ‘ultimate answer’ was to be found in the presence of Existence itself—in all its infinite potential.”    http://www.bentinhomassaro.com

You Are Infinite & Eternal Beings ∞The 9th Dimensional Arcturian Council

“Greetings. We are the Arcturian Council. We are pleased to connect with all of you.

You have awakened within you the knowing of your true nature as infinite beings of love and light. We know that those of you who are awakened hold those truths. You know who and what you really are, and yet you still tend to look at yourselves and your world through the eyes of limitation. The eyes of limitation tell you that you are running out of time, that there never is enough time, and that you’re getting older and closer to death.

The eternal and infinite you never sees yourselves through that particular lens. You know yourselves as infinite and expanding. You know yourselves as eternal and unconditional in your love. Therefore, there must be some reason why you awakened ones still shift back to the old way of thinking of yourselves.

You must be getting something out of it. Perhaps you still want to win the third dimensional game, and so you stick to the same old rules to see if you can rise up to the challenge of getting as much done as you possibly can in a twenty-four hour period or holding onto your youth by obsessing over how your body looks.

You need to let these things go because they do not serve you and because you want to be happy. You are only ever going to be happy when you live the truth of your eternal, infinite, and unconditionally loving nature. We suggest that you remind yourselves of these truths every chance that you get. We suggest that you only look at yourselves and your lives through the lens of the very center of your heart.

And we also suggest that you give up at trying to win a game that is beneath you and behind you. Instead, embrace the fifth dimensional game, which is all about seeing how much joy, love, beauty, and excitement you can create in a heartbeat.

We are the Arcturian Council, and we have enjoyed connecting with you.” danielscranton.com
