Zen Buddhist Monk And Teacher – Thich Nhat Hanh

March 27, 2026
The revered Zen Buddhist monk and teacher, peace activist, and vegan Thich Nhat Hanh was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Martin Luther King for his wartime work in his native Vietnam. He embraces and advocates for the vegan lifestyle, in an effort to extend peace, compassion, and justice to all who live.
“Walk With Me” is an excellent film documentary that lets us spend time at Plum Village, in France, a Zen Buddhist monastic community founded by Thich Nhat Hanh. The film’s focus is on living in the here and now. You might like to organize a showing at a local theater.
“A Life Connected” is an uplifting short video that tells of a healthier, sustainable, compassionate and peaceful way to eat and live. https://tinyurl.com/y6hd6rkw
