The Power Of Thanksgiving

“The Thanksgiving Holiday is important because it calls us to a higher Consciousness. It reminds us of the Creative Force of Gratitude.

Of course, we awaken to this creative force in different ways. Sometimes we awaken to gratitude when we are overjoyed at the abundance of our lives and are thankful. Just as often it arises when we face a life problem so large that afterward, when we find a solution, we realize we were helped in life… and find a larger experience of gratefulness.

We can also discover our gratitude at times of heightened nostalgia for the past, especially on the day of the Thanksgiving holiday itself. We think back to all the loved ones and others who helped us in our youth—sharing their wisdom, rescuing us from our lostness…just with the way they lived.

Poignantly, some of these people aren’t with us anymore. And we deeply feel the loss again. We shed a tear, longing again for their presence…and discover our gratefulness that they lived.

And then there are the dreams and projects that our souls yearn to manifest in the world. We ponder and refine them. We sense help and ask for it…and when they begin to unfold, one Synchronicity at a time, we are repeatedly grateful, and realize this gratefulness was a part of the flow.

It is at such times that we can pop into a full realization of gratitude as a creative power. It becomes a fixture of our consciousness as we prove to ourselves how it works. It is the engine behind every prayer, every project, every dream we have of making the world better.

How? Because Gratitude establishes a faith-beam behind all our vision. It establishes the power of belief and intention in all our positive creative endeavors. And it happens because we remember to be grateful for these manifestations in advance, even before they have occurred.

In this way, we consciously set not only a prayerful intention for a goal, but a faithful feeling of gratefulness for its occurrence as well.

Gratitude can then live in our hearts along side our love. And its power only grows when felt together in larger groups of people. Together, we can amplify this power even more, enlarging our single contributions into one vision of enlightening the world…

All we have to do is remember to use this gift.

And if we forget…well…the Thanksgiving Holiday can remind us.”

After thirty years of teaching Inner City, Special Education students and forty-five years of metaphysical studies, I have decided to share my life's philosophical understandings on this wonderful website. For me, everything in my life has been a spiritual experience from being raised in an alcoholic household, to marriage and teaching, and finally caring for an Alzheimer parent. I have sought at least fifteen, personal psychic readings to try and assist me as a wife, teacher and caretaker. I want to share the wisdom that I have gained from following the valuable spiritual guidance from my inner knowing and from heeding the advise of channeled answers from trusted psychics. At almost 70 years old, I am writing, traveling and enjoying retirement in Florida.
