“Love is the natural state of you. It is the vibration of that which you call God or All That Is, the benevolent force that imbues everything with life and energy.
The forms you see are not reality. They are your interpretations through the sensory device that is called your body, the ego mind. And so you see things that represent separation, but beneath that form, there is an energy, a force, and it is a force of love. It is a force of extension, which is the ever-expressing nature of creativity. So love is that.
Love has qualities. It has qualities of kindness and of expression. It has qualities of creativity, extension, and giving. It is not limited; it is expansive in its vibration.
The love that many of you experience — or what you call love on your plane — is not that. It is the ego mind possessing, controlling, limiting, and restricting.
So what we want you to understand is the real definition of love. It is always positive, it always feels good, and it always expands and extends. It is unlimited. When you feel the desire to possess somebody or restrict them to keep them yours, this is the ego mind trying to control; this is not love.
So this is a very important distinction for you to understand here. The love that we refer to as the Universal Love, God Love, All That Is, this love is the love that is calling you Home.
You have separated yourself from this love voluntarily to experience individuality and separation, so love is very overwhelming for the ego mind because it is counter to it. This is another reason that it is very important for you to study spiritual material and practice the principles of forgiveness, loving kindness, compassion, and nonjudgment. These are all aspects of a similar quality that reduce your separation from each other and therefore your separation from love.”
