To Find Real Freedom Of The Spirit Calls For A Willingness To Give All
When any of you are tempted to hold on to something of the old for security, realize you cannot move fully into the New as long as you are clinging on to that something of the old.
You cannot learn to swim as long as you have one toe on the bottom, you cannot learn to fly an airplane without taking off the ground. You have to do something; you have to make an effort.
Every soul longs for freedom of the Spirit but to find real freedom of the Spirit calls for a willingness to give all, to receiving all, and it is that All that is the stumbling block for many. They are willing to give up so much but like to hold on to some small portion which perhaps they feel really does not matter or does not concern anyone else.
But it’s that small something which they refuse to give up which is holding them up from moving completely into the New.
