When we think of wise sources of spiritual inspiration to guide our lives, we often think of Biblical passages, meaningful advise from our family and mentors, moving speeches from our cultural leaders, and more. The positive thought movement stresses that we should listen and go inside ourselves for divine guidance. The Bible speaks of that “still, small voice” in 1 Kings 19:12. The Biblical passage in Ephesians 3:20 speaks of the God within. It says, “Glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Many people speak of trusting their inner instincts because those messages are coming from angels whispering in their ear. If we sit with our inner messages, we can discern if they are exalted, higher influences which will better our lives. We can learn to tap into our “mystic heart song” to guide our life’s decisions.
The voice within us often speaks in whispers. It is our heart’s deep song that is uniquely our own. We may call these messages our “intuition” or our “gut knowing.” But it is sure that if we live a life that follows the highest ideals that “just feel right” within us, that we will prosper and find peace.
