Awakened

Into the dark
Of night we went
Where dreams amassed
Some to lament

Then to the Light
Of day we came
Awakened there
By Love’s refrain

And on this day
That’s here and now
New eyes shall see
And none shall bow

For gone are days
Of lack and greed
With sovereign heart
Today we’re freed

New eyes new sight
Have been bestowed
Upon the heart
When truths were told

Within each breast
A heart beats strong
In sync at last
With Heaven’s song

And rise we shall
Awake to see
All captive hearts
Shall soon be free
